Peso is now at 42

In my January 1, 2008 post I said:

I do not see the Peso going to 35. I even see it hover around 40"s for the whole year. I also see it weakening to 43 to 45 briefly to scare away short speculators. I saw it happen with the US dollar years back, with the Euro, Yen and others. Be careful.

Well the news today says:

The peso weakened past the 42-per-dollar mark Friday as jitters on rising consumer prices added to offshore investors' worries about a US-centered global credit crunch.

And it is forecasted to breach 42.50 soon.

------------

I am not saying I am right again, similar with my forecast with Gold. What I can say now...is be careful. I do not see a strong US dollar in the near term, now a strong Peso. I see a moderately strong Peso though...so trade carefully.

Promax Bars

My friends always told me that “you are what you eat”. Many of my friends are into dieting, and many are health conscious eaters, whatever this means. In my opinion, one thing that should be common to my friends’ diet should be the new Promax 70 calorie bar. Why?

1. Because if you are trying to loss weight, this is a great snack as the new bar has only 2 grams of fat, 10 grams of carbohydrates, 5 grams of protein, 7 grams of sugar and low in saturated fat. This high protein bars is cool for my friends who are trying to loss weight. When you buy them, check out the labels.

2. This is also suited for my health conscious eater friends, because the ingredients used in these bars are strictly from natural sources. Everything from Promax all natural energy bar is made from natural or wheat products with hardly any preservatives.

So, they really should agree on Promax 70 calorie healthy snack bars. Right?

I am back

Its been around 2 weeks since my last post.
The part of the house where my room, computer, and internet connection is located got its due repairs and renovation. Yeah, I know I could have made my posts from somewhere else. But..I also got busy with many other things, hehehehe, (I know I sound like I have never ending excuses):
1. Opening of my rice stores (doing great, more than I expected)
2. Processing my rice harvests (harvest was good, the best so far, that we have to have lechon and "padasal" to offer thanks to the heavens, and to the souls of my ancestors for the bountiful harvest)
3. Milling rice ( a little complicated, broken rice has to be least as possible, I will learn)
4. House renovation (expensive, than I expected, and taking longer than I planned, hay....)
5. Budget and cash flow are in the doldrums, hehehe. But I will manage.
I guess, I will be able to post on this blog more often in the next few weeks. I need to spend time on "Ka Pepe", among other income streams, to cushion my current expenses.
Ito lang muna.

What is up?

I am still jobless. Its been years now. It is an experiment, and its my choice (daw, kuno).

My expenses are growing and growing monthly. But I am not complaining. I can manage.

My businesses are growing, irritants are many, and pressure is mounting (whatever this word means). But I am the Boss....I say I'll rest when I wanted to.

So?

I am currently remodeling the house.

I have been invited as a Guest Speaker in a Graduation (Elementary School). I declined, too busy. Hay...

Been invited as Ninong in a wedding (I am not that old). I tried to decline, but can't. Hay...

The pressure right now is I am seeking the biggest loan in my life ever, and putting the largest collateral ever, for a business. When I go into a new business I do not make a business plan nor a feasibility study. I go by the gut. I can sense if it is going to work or not.

The loan will be spent on constructing a warehouse, buying a truck, and as working capital for rice buying, milling and retailing. I just created two rice retailer stores, just got my NFA permit, and rice shipment from my farm (and other farmers) will arrive on April 10th. It is the opening date of the stores.

---------

I am afraid that I will fail. I sometimes think, I'll just keep the money in the bank or not get a loan at all. What if the business will not work out as I expected?

I am afraid, but I have to try. Total andyan naman si Ka Pepe - ala na lang tulugan, hehehe.

Jensen Precast

A few months ago, I helped a few Civil Engineering students on their thesis. So I gave them a few tips. I told them, we all know that Civil Engineering is a broad field that deals with the planning, construction, and maintenance of fixed structures, or public works, as they are related to earth, water, and other processes. We also know that you have to have many skills to be a Civil Engineer nowadays. If you want to work overseas, for example, you have to be aware that you have to be good in AutoCAD software, as most planning now a day’s uses computer softwares. Also construction today involves the extensive use of Precast Concrete. The quality must be good, as they are extensively used in construction wherever in the world. Now, if you are interested about precast concrete for different building needs, including Precast Concrete Septic Tanks, then you should visit this website: www.jensenprecast.com. This website offers an extensive variety of precast concrete products for building needs. Check them out.
