Expatriate Filipino school kids welcomed our athletes in Doha, Qatar with heart warming posters and drawings.
“One of our volunteers delivered them three days ago saying that it’s from the expat community here,” said secretariat staffer Eleanor Navarro de la Pena.
“When I saw them my hair started to stand on end! I was very, very touched. It is a most heart-warming gift indeed,” said Deputy Chef-de-mission Ricardo ‘Richie’ Garcia.
“This is a wonderful way for expatriate Filipinos to reach out and provide moral support to our athletes who are striving to bring honour to the country,” he said.
